I begynnelsen av oktober ble Vindklyngen tatt inn i arenaprogrammet, et nasjonalt klyngeutviklingsprogram i regi av Innovasjon Norge, SIVA og Forskningsrådet. Dette innebærer økt tilførsel av utviklingsmidler og en unik mulighet for å synliggjøre og utvikle leverandørmiljøet innen vindkraft i Midt- Norge. NorWind successfully installs six jackets for offshore wind at Alpha Ventus, Germany’s first offshore wind farm NorWind has successfully build and installed the world’s first jackets for the offshore wind industry based on the concept of pre-installed piles at Germany’s first offshore wind farm, the Alpha Ventus Project.

According to our clients' needs we can offer together with partners complete solutions for foundations including design, fabrication and installation.

NorWind’s employees are recruited from the oil & gas and shipping industries. With such offshore and maritime competence together with our hands on experience gained from the first German offshore wind farm project, Alpha Ventus, it has been possible for NorWind to develop a state of the art installation vessel for jacket foundations. This innovative vessel will improve the efficiency of installation compared to what is currently available in the market and will reduce the overall cost of offshore wind farm installation. New vessels based on new innovative technical solutions are necessary in order to make offshore wind a robust solution for our future energy needs.
